Aaron Jay Brummels of Bellevue, MI

Aaron, age 42, died unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.

Aaron was born February 12, 1976 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Henry Gordon and Kathy Ann (Collins) Brummels. He has lived most of his life in the Bellevue area and was a 1994 graduate of Bellevue High School, where he was a member of the football and baseball team. Aaron was the president and co-owner with Josh Karaba of Quality Excavators Inc., in Marshall, MI.

Surviving are his daughter, Savannah Nicole Brummels; his father, Henry G. Brummels of Burlington, MI; a sister, Laura (Jay) Dowdle of Battle Creek, a brother, Henry Eric Allen Brummels of Seattle WA; his former wife, Kari Killian Scarbrough of Marshall and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. Aaron was preceded in death by twin sons, Marcus Ronald and Michael Henry Killian-Brummels and by his mother, Kathy A. Brummels. More than anything in the world, Aaron loved his daughter, Savannah.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing softball. Aaron played in the co-ed leagues through the Battle Creek Parks & Recreation Department. He enjoyed carpentry, and spending time working on improvements to his home and property. Aaron will be remembered as an amazing father, a hard working, genuine and fun loving man. Aaron loved baseball hats.

Friends will be received from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16th at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek, where funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17th. Interment will follow at Hicks Cemetery, Pennfield Township. His daughter, Savannah, would love for everyone to bring their favorite baseball hat to wear in honor of Aaron during the burial ceremony at the cemetery.
