Abbie Leigh Weddington

Abbie Leigh Weddington, age 23 of Battle Creek left this earth unexpectedly on January 9, 2022. Abbie passed away peacefully in her sleep. Abbie Leigh was born on May 5th, at 8:06 AM in 1998 to the proud mother, Donna Weddington, proud father, Brad Weddington and proud brother, Chad Stamps.

Abbie was born in Battle Creek MI, but grew up in Dowling, MI. She attended St. Joe elementary, loved acting, modeling, and theatre. Abbie later attended Lakeview and Pennfield schools. Abbie's son Carson was her entire world, and her sunshine on any cloudy day. She had a heart of gold and loved fiercely, every human, every animal and would do anything for anyone.

Abbie believed that everyone deserved to be loved and made sure we all knew it. Especially her son, mother and brother. Abbie loved being a mom, and in return loved her mom. The three of them were inseparable. Abbie was one of a kind and her contagious smile, spunky personality, and beautiful soul will forever be missed.

Abbie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dr. Carlyle Rupert Bryant and Bee; her maternal aunts, Linda Dobson and Jeanne Snyder; her uncle, Randy Bryant, and several cousins and beloved friends. She is survived by her mother, Donna Weddington, her father, John Brad Weddington; her son, Carson Lee; brother, Chad (Erika Wood) Stamps; nieces, Adriana Meyers, Alanah Meyers, Malayna, Jaxon, Keagan; and Carson Lee's Godmothers, Mckenzie Densmore and McKenzie Buschini.

Funeral services to celebrate Abbie's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday January 20, 2022 at Victory Life Church, 6892 D Dr. N, Battle Creek, MI 49014 with a continued celebration of her life to follow. Abbie will be buried at Riverside Cemetery in Bellevue at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 21st. All are welcome to attend, as Abbie loved everyone and would want everyone who loved her to be there. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to put directly to a fund for her son Carson's future.
