Alejos Arriaga

Alejos "Lee" Arriaga, 52, of Battle Creek, passed away May 26, 2014 at his home. Lee was born October 10, 1961 in San Antonio, TX to Raul and Maria (Hernandez) Arriaga. He graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and went on to work as an operator as part of the Post Cereal Family for 22 years. He was a dedicated and hard worker who will be missed.

Lee loved having good times with family and friends. He was the life of the party, telling jokes and cooking delicious food, especially his brisket. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, fishing and dancing.

Lee is survived by his two daughters, Kaylee (Vincent) Kuczka and Nicole Garvison; two grandchildren, Aleia Garvison and Juan Romero II; a granddaughter on the way, Khloee Kuczka; five brothers, Raul Arriaga, John Arriaga, Reimundo Arriaga, Leonardo (Brenda) Arriaga and Hector Arriaga, and his special friend, Marcelino Martinez.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Erasmo Arriaga.

Visitation will be Friday, May 30, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31st at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Father Daniel Doctor, Officiant. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial donations are asked to consider the family, with donations going to Lee's grandchildren's college fund.
