Alice Marie (Robinette) George

Alice Marie (Robinette) George, 89, of Battle Creek and formerly of Muncie, Indiana and Donnelsville, Ohio, died peacefully at home with her son at her side, on Thursday, June 20, 2024. 

Alice was born May 18, 1935, in Princeton, West Virginia. She grew up in Princeton and graduated from Princeton High School. Alice was employed providing nursing care at hospitals, nursing homes and private residences most of her life. 

Surviving are seven children, Warren (Tina) Wright, Owen Hartley, Dove Shultzaberger, John Neuhart, James Neuhart, Joseph (Karne) Neuhart, Jean (Greg) Bennett; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger Dean George; and siblings, Bill Robinette, Jean Taylor, Monty Thompson, Jack Thompson, Joey Thompson and Robert Robinette. 

Alice enjoyed sewing, crocheting, decorating, growing flowers and vegetables, canning and church and family. Alice will be remembered for her joyful spirit, her endless energy and love of family. 

Friends will be received 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Cremation Preneed Care. A brief visitation and funeral service will be held in the chapel at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 8200 W. National Road, Donnelsville, Ohio 45319, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
