Alice May Morgan

Alice M. Morgan, 76, of Battle Creek, MI, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Bronson Hospital in Battle Creek.

She was born on June 27, 1940, the daughter of William and Helen Johnson.

Alice worked at the Clock and Russ' Restaurants and Covance in Battle Creek and was a former member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Battle Creek.

She married the "Love of her life" Walter Morgan on Feb 14, 1959. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Judy Clark.
Alice is survived by her husband, Walter Morgan, son Dave (Debbie) Morgan, daughter Sandy (Frank) Davis, son Randy (Ingrid) Morgan, son Bill Morgan, sister Sharon Morgan, brother Dick (Jo) Johnson, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sister-in-laws Maxine Morgan, Linda Morgan, and Donna Morgan.

Alice took great delight in having a sense of humor, participating in family practical jokes and wearing very gaudy earrings just to hear her family laugh. She also enjoyed listening to the Mountain Tops gospel/bluegrass band when her husband and brother-in-law played. She loved being in church, gardening: especially with flowers, playing cards with family and collecting angel keepsakes.

But her true joy was spending time with family, especially the grand and great-grandkids. She loved babysitting, doing craft projects, and just sitting and talking with them.

A visitation will be held from 4-8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 23rd at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 105 Capital Ave. N.E. Battle Creek. A life celebration will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 24, 201724, 2017 at the funeral home, with Rev. Robert G. Muirhead officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
