Allan Edwin Lee

Allan Edwin Lee, 68, a lifelong Battle Creek resident died peacefully at Bronson Battle Creek on Monday, December 13, 2021.

Allan was born May 15, 1953 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Harold Earl and Audrey June (Maurer) Lee. He was a 1971 graduate of Harper Creek High School. Allan was employed by Mayflower Van Lines for 20 years. He then owned and operated his own moving business until retiring in 2013.

Allan Edwin Lee was united in marriage to Marcella Gayle Wells on May 22, 1976 at Family Altar Chapel. Surviving are Gayle, his wife of 45 years; two sons, Robert A. Lee and Joseph M. Lee, both of Battle Creek; brother, Michael (Linda) Lee of Marshall; three sisters, Deborah Rogers of Battle Creek, Lenora (Michelle) Lee of Kalamazoo, Christina (Brian) Selander of Antioch, IL; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Allan was preceded in death by his parents.

Allan loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and working in his vegetable and flower gardens. He was always cooking, baking, canning, making food, soups and pies for family and friends to take home. Allan was known as the "Pie Master" at Rice Lake in Canada. He was very generous and always thinking of what others needed while he shopped at garage sales for bargains. He loved his family, following his sons' sporting events when they were in school. He loved his trips to Rice Lake, fishing and cooking for the camp. He enjoyed playing Texas Hold'em, talking to people, going to the horse races and casino.

Friends will be received from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. A funeral service to celebrate Allan's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021. The service will be officiated by Rev. Kelly C. Hadlich..
