Andrew L. Reese

Andrew L. Reese, age 75 of Wellington, Florida and formerly of Battle Creek passed away June 11, 2025 while in Hospice Care in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was born in Battle Creek on June12, 1949 the son of Wendell L. and Katherine C. Reese.

Andy spent his growing up years in Battle Creek, attending Battle Creek Public Schools and graduating with the Class of 1967. He continued his education at Kellogg Community College and went on to graduate from Michigan State University.

Talented, creative, and ready for adventure, Andrew relocated to New York City. While there, he became a highly respected person in the Broadway Theatre. Andy worked on several name productions including “Phantom of the Opera”, “Miss Saigon”, and “Les Miserables”. He was also a member of the road companies of many productions which took him all over the United States and abroad.

In retirement, with friends already living in Florida, Andy moved to spend his time in the sunshine.

Andrew is survived by his sister, Cynthia; brother, Douglas; nephews, Jason and Theodore; niece, Elizabeth, and their families. He is also survived by his long-time partner, Jim Smith and his Florida sister, Terry. Andy was preceded in death by his parents.

A brother, uncle, friend and very special person, Andy was dearly loved and will be dearly missed!
