Andrew Phillips "Andy" Titus, III, age 66, of Battle Creek, died with his family at his side, after a short battle with colon cancer on Saturday, May 14, 2016.
Andy was born February 11, 1950, in Louisville, Kentucky to Andrew P. and Elsie "Mae" (Buckles) Titus, Jr. Andy honorably served his country in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during the Vietnam Era in Germany.
He is survived by his four sisters, Victoria (John) Renner of Battle Creek, Deborah (Timothy) Zielinski of Mason, MI, Lisa (Romeo) Crisanti of Gahanna, OH, Kristina (Mike) Zelasko of Grand Rapids, MI and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mae Titus.
Andy enjoyed living independently and riding his moped, bicycle, and the City Transit around town. He liked talking to his neighbors and friends at Verona businesses about politics and local happenings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. John D. Fleckenstein at St. Philip Catholic Church 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2016. Military honors and interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
