Angeline "Ann" Freed

Angeline Mary "Ann" (Bozzi) Freed, 94, of Battle Creek, died at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility on Saturday, July 27, 2013. Ann was born March 14, 1919 in Fort William / Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada to Antonio and Maria (Cipriano) Bozzi and grew up in Fort William. Ann enjoyed gardening and knitting, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ann married James Wilfred "Jim" Freed July 10, 1937 in Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim on February 23, 2002. Surviving are daughters, Jackie (Chuck) Crail of Battle Creek, Bobbie Garrod of McMillan, Jane (Jerry) Bender of Pinckney and Debi (Ray Hall) Bennett of Beech Grove, TN.; sons, Jim (Fran) Freed of Whitehall and Glen Freed of Garland, TX; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 12 great great-grandchildren and a brother, Johnny Bozzi. Ann was also preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild and 10 brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Tuesday, July 30 from 5-7 p.m., where funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2013, officiated by Pastor Jeffery Davis. Interment will follow at West Pennfield Hicks Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility or the Overflow Church.
