Anita Ann (Hahlbeck) Stout, 88, of Battle Creek died peacefully at Reflections Memory Care on Tuesday, December 24, 2019.
Anita was born June 30, 1931 in Arlington, Nebraska, the daughter of Alfred Albert and Helen Margaret (Warren) Halhbeck. She was raised in Arlington and was a 1949 graduate of Arlington High School. Anita was employed in the office at Teamster's Local #34 in Battle Creek for 20 years. After retiring, she volunteered for 18 years at the Calhoun County Circuit Court where she was known as "The General".
Anita married Richard E. Stout on July 17, 1960. Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, on March 22, 2012. Surviving are her children, Kimberly A. "Kim" Stout, Kalli A. (Steve) Inman, six grandchildren, Patrick Bond, Natalie Bond, Cameron Pierce, Courtney Pierce, Megan (Robert) Dziewicki, Matthew Inman; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Susan (Loren) Hagerbaumer of Hooper, Nebraska; and special friends, Bill and Karen Snyder of Battle Creek. In addition to her husband, Anita was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Miles R. Stout, an infant son, Richard E. Stout, II; a daughter, Salli A Pierce; a sister, Eleanor; and a brother, Warren Hahlbeck.
Anita loved volunteering at the Calhoun County Circuit Court and helping families. She loved going to dinner and she enjoyed her friends. Anita will be remembered as a very generous person.
Per Anita's wishes, she will be placed in an urn with her husband, Richard at Memorial Park Cemetery.
