Ann Elise (Hartsuff) Rawsky passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022. She was born in Birmingham, Michigan on November 16, 1949, as the first of three daughters to John and Marian (Jerome) Hartsuff. She graduated from Western Michigan University with a Master's degree in Education and taught middle school English at Delton-Kellogg Schools for 37 years.
On September 12, 1970, Ann was united in marriage to Jim Rawsky. They celebrated 52 loving years of marriage filled with remodeling and decorating several homes, traveling the world, and devoting time to family and friends. Ann was a perpetual planner and enjoyed uniting friends and family to dinners, parties, laughing, and making memories. Ann was the loving mother of Emily and Jeff and adoring grandmother to Siena and James. Her greatest love was her family.
She was an avid gardener and treasurer of the Rose and Thistle Garden Club at the Kellogg Manor House. She also loved reading and was a member of the Book Babes book club. Ann was passionate about her community and gave back through donating her time, talent, and treasure to various causes including Habitat for Humanity. Ann adored being on the water; she divided her time between Gull Lake, and Crystal Lake, and wintered on Bonita Beach, Florida.
Ann is survived by her husband, Jim Rawsky; daughter Emily Rawsky; son Jeff (Maria) Rawsky; grandchildren Siena and James; sisters Mari (Michael) Mulholland and Karen (Jeff) Franke; brother-in-law Bill (Judy) Rawsky; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life open house will take place at the Kellogg Manor House, 3700 East Gull Lake Drive, Hickory Corners, MI 49060, on Friday, November 18th from 3 to 7pm.
