Anna Belle "Ann" Graham

August 10, 1939 — May 4, 2020

Anna Belle "Ann" Graham, age 80, of Battle Creek passed away peacefully on Monday morning, May 4, 2020 at the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence, Kalamazoo. She was born in Dayton, Tennessee on August 10, 1939, the loving daughter of Sam and Thelma (Oldham) Smith. Ann worked various jobs in Battle Creek, including as a cook, very talented floral designer, and cake decorator.

Ann married the "Love of Her Life", George G. Graham in Des Moines, Iowa on March 26, 1962; he sadly preceded her in death on November 25, 2015. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Carpenter of Battle Creek and Kim Westworth of Marshall; her grandchildren, Marissa (Colin) Wimes of Battle Creek, Steven Renshaw of Battle Creek, Deanna Katz of Niles, and Jacob Westworth of Battle Creek; her great-grandchildren, Dominick, Nova, Emma, and Lola; her sisters, Opal (Jerry) Snodderly of Athens, Linda (Todd) Vance of West Virginia; and many nieces & nephews. Ann was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Kathy Smith; and three brothers, Leon, Richard and Ernie Smith.

Ann's greatest joys in life were her family. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, doing crafts, vegetable gardening, and taking care of her beautiful flowers beds. While wintering in Florida for many years, she enjoyed rides on their pontoon boat.

Due to recent government regulations, a private interment has been held at Fort Custer National Cemetery and a public Celebration of Ann's Life will be held at a later date when it is safe to gather again. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. Arrangements are by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek.
