Annette M. Pratt

Annette M. Pratt, 79, died May 3, 2026. Annette was born November 17, 1946 in Buffalo, NY to Louis and Louise (Brancato) Martina. She graduated high school and went on to get her Associate’s Degree.

Annette married Jerry Pratt in 1969. They were married for 55 years after a whirlwind courtship. While engaged they lived in different states, but Jerry still found time to call Annette every night for an entire summer, which created some amazing phone bills. After they were married they settled down in the Battle Creek area where they built their home and raised their family.

Annette was very family oriented. There was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her loved ones and going to her grandchildren’s games and events. She loved gardening and was a member of her church’s Bible study group for many years at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Annette is survived by her two sons, Michael (Patricia) Pratt and Douglas (Tracey Barnett); 7 grandchildren, Jacob, Anthony (Alexis), Isabel, Alexander, Megan, Abigail and Brianna; one great-granddaughter, Emmerson; a brother, Charles (Nancy) Martina and a sister, Doris Carlson. Annette was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry; her parents; a brother-in-law, John Carlson and a niece, Kelly Vogt.

A Memorial Mass to celebrate Annette’s life will be 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 11:00 a.m. Annette will be laid to rest next to her husband at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
