Annie S. (Chilton) Uldriks

Annie S. Uldriks, 97, of Battle Creek died at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility on November 9, 2016.

Annie was born September 22, 1919 in Allons, Tennessee to Elba Ettis and Nanny May (Glidewell) Chilton. In 1922 Annie moved with her family to Mangum, OK, then back to Allons, TN in 1925; and in 1941 she moved to Battle Creek, MI, where she has resided since. She was employed by Post Cereal Division of General Foods before retiring in 1979.

Annie married John C. Uldriks on February 1, 1943 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her husband John on January 21, 1997. Surviving are her children, Joanna K. (Fred) Latshaw of Battle Creek; Gary D. (Donna) Uldriks of Henderson, NV, Terry G. Uldriks of Battle Creek; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and sisters, Laura Janet Buford, Lois Adeline Underwood, Marcia Bayne Martin and Joyce Evelyn Young. In addition to her husband, Annie was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and one sister.

Annie was a former member of Allons, Tennessee Salem Methodist Church. She enjoyed needlework, embroidery and crafts. Annie will be remembered for her kindness to others and her love for the Lord.

Friends will be received 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday & 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Tim Smothers at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2016. Interment will follow at Bedford Cemetery.
