Antonietta "Toni" Fitzgerald

Antonietta “Toni” Alice Fitzgerald, 99, of Battle Creek passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

Antonietta was born November 20, 1926 to Carlo and Elena (Lorenzi) Armanini in Madis, Italy. She came to the United States in 1930 and settled in Yatesboro, Pennsylvania. In 1947, she was united in marriage to Thomas E. Fitzgerald at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Yatesboro. After moving to Battle Creek, she worked as a bookkeeper at Battle Creek Ford. In her free time, she enjoyed golf, bowling, and traveling. She would go on yearly trips to Las Vegas with her sisters. She loved playing cards with her family and hosting family Christmases.

She is survived by her grandsons, Randall (Karla) Ramon and Thomas (Danielle) Fitzgerald; and her sisters, Linda (Jerry) Buckland, Pauline (Bill) Evans and Enis (Bob) Gray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas and parents; her daughter, Ellen Kenyon and son, Floyd (Margaret) Fitzgerald; brothers, Mario, Joseph, Benny and Louis Armanini.

A memorial service to celebrate Antonietta’s life will be held Friday, March 20, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Cremation Preneed Care, where her family will receive friends for visitation at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
