Arlene Mazo

Frances “Arlene” Mazo, 78, of Battle Creek, died September 24, 2025. Arlene was born April 11, 1947 in Cleveland, OH to William and Helen (Swinford) Maxfield. She graduated from Galesburg-Augusta High School in 1965 and went onto marry Gerald “Jerry” Mazo in 1981. The couple had 5 children together. Arlene and Gerald enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas together and going to NASCAR races. She also enjoyed reading and crocheting.

Arlene was sadly preceded in death by her husband, Gerald in 2001; their son, Todd Mazo; a brother, Loynal Maxfield and her parents. She is survived by her children, Gina Gott, Brian Gott, Lori Bagent and James Mazo; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grand daughter; a sister, Debbie (Roy) McDowell; a niece, Kathy Maxfield and a daughter-in-law, Christina Mazo.

Funeral services to celebrate Arlene’s life will be 12:00 p.m., Monday, September 29, 2025 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 11:00 a.m. A private, family only interment will be held Michigan Memorial Cemetery, Flat Rock, MI.
