Arthur L. Holtman

Arthur L. Holtman passed away May 30, 2026 at Friendship Village at age 95.

He was the oldest of four children born to Ruth and Claus Holtman. He had two sisters, Grace Demi and Jean Adam and a brother, Paul Holtman who preceded him in death. While in the Air Force, he met his wife, Phyllis Woods. They had two children, Douglas and Rhonda Shaw. He has two grandsons, Brian and Kevin Shaw.

Art served three years in the National Guard and four years in the United States Air Force. He graduated from Western Michigan University. He worked at KVP in Parchment, Michigan State Kellogg Forest and Fort Custer Recreation Area.

Art enjoyed traveling, camping, working with 4-H kids and little league baseball. He also liked deer and rabbit hunting.

Funeral services will be June 8 at Fort Custer National Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Please arrive around fifteen minutes early to the cemetery.
