Arthur D. "Art" Williams

Arthur D. "Art" Williams, age 45, of Galesburg died Wednesday evening, July 31, 2019. He was born in Battle Creek on August 24, 1973, the son of Arthur and Bertha (Murray) Williams. Arthur graduated from Galesburg-Augusta High School. As a child, he ran Galesburg Septic with his dad. After graduating high school, he went to work at Merco's in Plainwell and then at Hi-Lex in Fort Custer and Burkett Signs. Arthur also worked in construction, but his favorite thing to do was barter and trade for everything. Family was everything to him and he always put his kids and grandkids first.

Arthur married Carrie Belt in 1993; that marriage ended in divorce. He is survived by his children, Kelsey, Emily, and Savaniah Williams, David Haas and Landon Stephens; his two grandchildren, McKalynn Williams and Journey Britton and his sister, Brenda Diamond. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Bruce Williams; a daughter, Hailee Williams; his lifelong best friend, Collin Hanson; his grandma, Elsie (Frank) Murray and many other family members.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials directed to the family c/o Kelsey Williams, would be appreciated.
