Audrey Evay Martens-Withers

Audrey Evay Martens-Withers, age 54, of Battle Creek went home to see the Lord unexpectedly on September 3, 2020 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born in Battle Creek on August 27, 1966, the daughter of Milo D. and Mildred "Midge" (Hale) Martens and graduated from Harper Creek in 1984.

Audrey was sadly preceded in death by her daughters, Krystal Marie Martens and Stephine Nichole Welcher; her mother & father, Mildred "Midge" Martens and Milo D. Martens; and her brother, Daniel Miller. She is survived by her son, Keith Welcher; her granddaughter Nevaeh Ann Welcher; brothers, David P. Miller, John Miller, and Dennis Martens; sister, Linda Miller Coss; and her special cousin, Kim Martens.

Audrey worked in the C.I.R. (Community Inclusive Recreation) program helping people with special needs and also waiting tables. She studied at Wight Beauty Academy and from there bought her own nail salon, where she enjoyed doing nails and visiting people. She also enjoyed spending time with her family laughing and telling stories, painting and doing crafts with her granddaughter, Nevaeh Welcher.

Family will gather to Celebrate Audrey's Life at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 12th at the Anybodies Playground at Bailey Park, 1400 Capital Avenue, NE, Battle Creek, MI 49017. Arrangements by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the family, would be appreciated.
