Barbara J. Cook

Barbara J. Cook, 83, of Battle Creek, died November 1, 2016. Barbara was born April 24, 1933 in Newark, OH to Harry and Florence (Loy) Crist. She graduated high school and worked as a food manager at K.F.C. for a lengthy time and also Battle Creek Public Schools for a number of years. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, reading and going to the casino.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Deborah (John) Bradley; two sons, Robert (Susan) Cook and James (Stacy) Cook; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and four sisters, Shirley Maggard, Lillian Bandy, Constance Luse and Donna Martz.

Barbara married Harold Cook on July 1, 1951. He passed away in 2003.

Funeral services to celebrate Barbara's life will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, officiated by Pastor Thomas C. Townsend. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
