Barbara Fruin

Barbara Fruin, 88, of Ceresco, died October 17, 2015. Barbara was born September 6, 1927 in Battle Creek to Howard and Ida (Vaughn) Bridenstine.

Barbara enjoyed tennis, slots, boating, fishing, spending time in their beautiful winter home on Pine Island, FL. and bird watching. She loved animals, especially dogs and enjoyed playing with pups Sheldon and Webster. Most of all, she loved her husband, children, grand children and great-grandchildren. She also loved her hot air balloon rides piloted by her grandson Tyler Jaques. There will never be another Mother like our mom, she was precious and special and loved so much.

Barbara is survived by her three children, Gerie (John) Hollingshead, Carol Kuhlman and Martin (Mary Jo) Fruin; five grandchildren, Tyler (Erica) Jaques, Christopher (Stephanie) Fruin, Amber (James) Fruin, Macey Kintigh and Jonathon Chilton, and six great-grandchildren, Brittney, Zoey, McKenzie, Mykahlia, Kaylee and Kaycee.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Fruin in 2008, a daughter, Judith Lynn Fruin, a grand daughter, Jenny Jeane Berry and two brothers, Donald L. Bridenstine and Howard Bridenstine.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, where funeral services to celebrate Barbara's life will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22nd, officiated by Rev. James S. Codde. Interment will follow at Hicks Cemetery.
