Barbara J. (Walters) Gray of Battle Creek, MI

Barb, age 84, one week shy of her 85th Birthday, died Saturday morning, February 10, 2018 at the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility, Battle Creek.

Barb, the daughter of Nels J. "Tobey" and Mary E. (Resser) Mason, was born in Battle Creek on February 16, 1933 and was a lifetime area resident. She worked as a travel Agent for Ermisch Travel in Battle Creek for many years. She enjoyed travel, jigsaw puzzles, and was an expert at knitting and crafted many beautiful gifts for family and friends.

Barb is survived by her two sons, Ray and Bryan Walters, both of Battle Creek; her brother-in-law, Chris Christ of Battle Creek; a niece, Kristin L. Christ of Troy, MI and two nephews, John M. (Jill) Christ of Battle Creek and Scott M. Christ of Kalamazoo, MI. Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Gray, her sister, Betty J. Christ on January 20, 2018, a niece, Teri E. Christ on May 23, 1983, and a great niece Heather Krueger Moana June 3, 2015.

A Private Graveside Service to celebrate Barb's life will be held on Saturday, March 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2435 Territorial Road, Battle Creek with the Rev. Thomas J. Ott, Pastor of the First Congregational Church, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Barb's honor may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
