Barbara A. Hale

Barbara A. Hale, 87, of Climax, died February 21, 2026. Barbara was born December 6, 1938 in Chicago, IL to Karl and Mae (Sikora) Fox. She graduated high school in Illinois and went on to marry James T. Hale in 1959. She worked as a secretary for an insurance company in Illinois for many years.

Barbara enjoyed knitting, gardening and reading. She also enjoyed baking and cooking for church functions and enjoying the fellowship of both of her churches. A perfectionist in everything she did, she was very kind and generous to others. Barbara attended Climax United Methodist Church and most recently Peace Community Church in Climax.

Barbara is survived by many friends, including the Miller children. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James, and three brothers.

As per Barbara’s wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2026 at Peace Community Church in Climax. Light refreshments will follow.
