Barbara Ann (Horn) Stults

Barbara Ann (Horn) Stults, 87, of Battle Creek died at Borgess Medical Center on Thursday, August 31, 2017.

She was born November 24, 1929 in Olivet, Michigan to Elmer and Irene (Gorman) Horn. Barb grew up in Olivet and graduated from Olivet High School, where she met a young man by the name of Theron. Barbara Ann Horn married Theron R. Stults on May 8, 1948 in Marshall, Michigan. Sadly she was unexpectedly preceded in death by Theron, her husband of 68 years on October 10, 2016. Surviving are two daughters, Dayna L. Stults of Battle Creek, Deb L. Stults of Petersburg, MI; two sisters-in-law, Joan Horn of Bellevue and Dorothy Stults of Marshall and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her husband, Barb was also preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Charles, Donald and Clifford "Baldy" Horn.

Barbara was a member of the First Congregational Church. She enjoyed reading and word search puzzles. Barb was a good seamstress and enjoyed sewing. Her home smelled delicious when she was in her kitchen baking treats for her family. She will be remembered as "a good cooker!"

Memorial services will be held at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017; where friends will be received 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m., the hour prior to services. Committal and inurnment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
