Barbara Louise (Hughey) Tijerina, a lifelong Battle Creek resident, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility in the loving care of her family and the wonderful staff there.

Friends will be received 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. A funeral service to celebrate Barb’s life will be officiated by Pastor John Grafton at Friends Church 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2026. Committal and interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
