Barrett Matthew Wiley

Barrett Matthew Wiley, age 21, of Battle Creek and formerly of Augusta, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 31, 2013. He was born in Marshall, Michigan on September 24, 1991, the loving son of Dennis D. and Teresa L. (Powers) Wiley.

Barrett was sadly preceded in death by his mother, Teresa in 2006; his father, Dennis in 2008; his maternal grandfather, Forrest Powers; and paternal grandmother, Loretta Wiley. He is survived by his brother, Dennis A.P. (Robin) Wiley of Augusta; his nieces, Alexis Marie and Savannah Lynn; his grandparents, Jacqueline Powers and Allen Wiley; his favorite dog, "Bear"; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A true gamer, Barrett enjoyed playing video games and his guitar, listening to music, writing poetry, and watching TV and movies. His true love in life was his family, friends and his dog "Bear".

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home where funeral services to celebrate Barrett's life will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 2013. Interment will follow at Augusta Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the American Cancer Society.
