Bethel E. "Bud" Frailey, 89 of Battle Creek, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Battle Creek Veteran's Administration Medical Center.
Bud was born April 20, 1924, in Putnam County, Tennessee; moving to Battle Creek at age 5.
Bud graduated from Kellogg Agriculture School, where he was a star athlete.
Bud served in the United States Army from 1943 until 1946 during WWII.
Bud retired from Eaton Corporation in Kalamazoo in 1982.
Bud enjoyed raising hunting dogs and was a member of the Wolverine Coon Club.
Bud is survived by his wife, Ethel (Armstrong) Frailey, son Verne (Rene') Frailey, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, five step-children, eight step-grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie (Dudley) Frailey, his parents, a daughter Vicki Mudd and two brothers, Joe Frailey and Charlie Ray. There are no services planned and cremation has taken place.
