Betty Lou (Badger) Bly, 95 of Battle Creek died as a result of COVID-19 at Bronson Battle Creek on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
Betty was born February 26, 1926 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Claude and Mary Elizabeth (Eldridge) Badger. She grew up in Battle Creek and was a homemaker most of her life. Betty was formerly employed at General Foods, U. S. Steel & Wire in Battle Creek and Mueller Brass in Port Huron.
Betty was formerly married to Barton Armantrout, Donald Van Vleet and Edward Bly. Surviving are her children, Robert (Bonnie) Armantrout of Grand Junction, CO, Janice Miller of Bellevue, MI, Brenda (William) Niswander of East Leroy; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 13 great great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Bly; three children, Patty Ann Armantrout, Sharon Van Vleet, Donald Van Vleet; and two brothers, Jack and William Badger.
Betty enjoyed gardening, Playing Bingo, playing cards at the Kool Center and spending time with family and friends.
A graveside service will be officiated by Pastor Steven S. Olmstead of Pleasantview Church, at Hicks Cemetery in Pennfield Township 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2021.
