Betty J. "Jean" Farley

Betty J. "Jean" Farley, age 86, of Battle Creek passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016. She was born in Battle Creek on October 22, 1929, the daughter of David A. and Velma (Kiefer) Daley and graduated from Bellevue High School.

Jean married LaVerne Robert Farley in Bellevue, Michigan on October 21, 1950; he sadly preceded her in death on August 30, 1986. She was also preceded in death by her son, Paul Allen Farley on January 17, 2014, and her grandson, Scott Robert Farley on May 23, 2012. Jean is survived by her children, Linda Gardner, Phil (Brenda) Farley, Nancy Farley, and Kenny (Sandy) Farley; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her sister, Lyndall Adams; a niece, Summer Adams, and a great-niece, "Bella" Adams.

A true matriarch, Jean loved taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Springfield Assembly of God Church and enjoyed flowers.

Cremation has taken place and no services are being planned. Jean will be interred with her husband at Bell Cemetery in Bellevue.
