Bonnie M. (Baldwin) Dowell, 84 of Battle Creek died Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Bronson Battle Creek after a long illness.
Bonnie was born February 10, 1933 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of George and Mary Jane (Snyder) Baldwin. She grew up in Battle Creek and attended Lakeview High School. Bonnie was employed at Win Schuler's, and they sent her to bar tending training. Over the years, she worked at numerous restaurants, including Schuler's, The Chuck Wagon, M-66 Bowl and the Eagles Lodge.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her last husband, Dennis D. Dowell on September 4, 1983; a son, Douglas L. Doud on November 9, 2007 and a daughter, Denise May Doud on April 10, 2017. Surviving are two sons, David (Terry) Doud of Bellevue and Delno (Kathy) Doud of Battle Creek; eight grandchildren, Corey (DeeDee) Smith, Todd (Kanjana) Smith, Joseph Wesley, Nick (Danielle) Doud, Chris (Kyle) Doud, Kari Doud, Sean Doud and Troy Dolph; and numerous great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and extended family and their families.
Bonnie was an avid Detroit Tiger fan. She was the Junior Bowling Coach at M-66 Bowl for many years. Bonnie loved people, had a good voice and enjoyed singing.
A private family inurnment of Bonnie remains will be held at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
