Bonnie Sue Stansbery

May 13, 1945 — Jun 27, 2015

Bonnie Sue (Meade) Stansbery, age 70, of Battle Creek, MI and formerly of Lorain, OH, peacefully passed away on Saturday morning, June 27, 2015, after 26 years of demonstrating to others true strength, courage and the determination of the human spirit to survive against insurmountable challenges. All those that had the honor of caring for her and knowing her journey have been left with a deeper understanding of compassion, forgiveness and the value in all human life.

Bonnie was a 1964 graduate of Clearview High School in Lorain where she met and married her high school sweetheart. The family later settled in Battle Creek where she held several managerial positions, the last being at Aviation Specialist Inc. She found her true passion in being with family and delighted in all things Harper Creek football (Battle Creek), which included working with the booster club, to cheering on her husband as he coached her sons though many seasons and sports.

She is survived by husband, Dennis; sons, Kevin and Derek; daughter, Paula (David) Tharp; granddaughter Rachel; brothers, James (Carol), Ronald (Patty), and John (Kathy); brother-in-law, Steve Gaydosh along with a host of friends and family that meant the world to her. Bonnie leaves this world to reunite with her parents, Lowell & Ruby (Hall) Meade; sister, Anna Mae Gaydosh, and in-laws, Mervin & Pricilla Stansbery.

Bonnie you will be remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, friend and teacher. You have strengthened our faith in God and left us in awe of the beauty and determination of your soul. You are deeply loved, sorely missed and forever in our hearts.

A graveside ceremony will be held 2:30 p.m., Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst. The family will receive friends 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Garland-Misencik Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Amherst. In lieu of flowers or donations, please honor Bonnie's life by spending time with friends, family and those that could be comforted by kind words and quality time. Arrangements were made by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
