Brandon Richard Burge

Brandon Richard Burge, age 34, of Battle Creek unexpectedly passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born in Battle Creek on January 20, 1983 and attended Harper Creek Schools and played football on the Harper Creek High School football team.

Brandon was sadly preceded in death by his little brother, Billy Travis Burge on May 30, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his grandmothers, Lillie Lou Pierce and Georgia Donovan; his uncle, Allen Burge; and his great-grandmother, Helen Bird. Brandon is survived by his parents, Barbara and Larry Donovan; his son, Austin Crawford; his girlfriend, Alecia Lynn; his sister-in-law, Tahnee Burge; his grandparents, Richard and Cheryl Pierce, Grandpa Donovan, Richard and Natala Logan, and Kay Jacobs; his second cousin, Jackson that he never got to see; and close friends who were more like brothers, Chad May, Shay & Mike Flores and Justin Parker. He also leaves behind a lot of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Brandon truly enjoyed playing football while at Harper Creek and now playing fantasy football, and was an avid Detroit Lions fan. Brandon had a huge heart and loved spending time with his family & friends, but especially his son, Austin and his nieces, Baylee and Kylee Burge. Brandon truly "Loved Life" and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek where funeral services to celebrate Brandon's life will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 20, 2018. The family will continue the celebration of Brandon's life with a gathering at the P.N.A. Club immediately following the funeral services.
