Bryon Lynn DeRushia, age 54, of Battle Creek passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, July 26, 2019 at the Bronson Hospital in Battle Creek. He was born in Battle Creek on August 12, 1964, the son of Lynn and Mary Ann DeRushia. Bryon graduated from Lakeview High School in 1982 and began his long and successful career in the electrical trades. He was employed for many years with Motor Shop electric as a Superintendent, and retired from the electrical trades in May of 2017.
Bryon is survived by his wife, Elice DeRushia; two sons, Brandon Lynn DeRushia, and Michael Lynn DeRushia, both of Battle Creek; his parents, Lynn and Lory DeRushia of Battle Creek; step-father, William Richardson, of Greenville, MI; his brothers, Michael Lynn DeRushia of Greenville, MI, and Steve Isaacs of Destin, FL. Bryon was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Richardson and his brother, Mark Issacs.
Bryon was a member of the Local IBEW 445, The PNA Club, and the Arie 299 Eagles Lodge in Battle Creek. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father, children and cousins in Lake City, MI. Bryon was a generous fun loving man and will be missed by all.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 2nd at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek where funeral services to celebrate Bryon's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday.
