Candy M. Miller, 47 years old of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, September 27th, 2014. Candy died peacefully in her sleep after battling pulmonary fibrosis for four years. Candy was born on January 20th, 1967 in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Johnny and Lorna Lane.
Candy is survived by her husband, Ron Miller, whom she married on February 13th, 2000. Candy is also survived by her daughter, Shyanne Lane; son, Michael Lane; three older brothers, Shawn, Rod, and Todd Lane; and step-daughters Larissa Lawson and Bridgett Flanders. Candy was preceded in death by her oldest brother, Johnny "Squirt" Lane.
Candy was an avid Detroit Red Wings fan, a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a committed friend to many. Candy loved spending time with her family, especially her many nieces and nephews, snuggling with her dogs, playing Bingo, and baking pies. Candy will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, where funeral services to celebrate Candy's life will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2014, with Rev. Bobbie Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
