Carl Eugene Beasley of Marshall, MI

Carl, age 59, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, October 17, 2017 at his residence.

Carl, the son of Eugene E. and Rosemary A. (Blume) Beasley, was born in Dowagiac, MI on September 14, 1958; was a 1976 graduate of St. Philip High School and received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University. He served his country honorably and nobly in the United States Navy from 1987 to 1993. He was most recently employed as a machinist in operation assembly by RSB Transmissions in Homer, MI. Other employers included Dart Container in Mason, MI and Eaton Corporation in Marshall, MI. Carl had several interests and hobbies including working as a home machinist in both wood and metal, enjoyed reading scripture, listening to Christian and Country music, spending time with his dear friends Jerry and Sally Ball and their family, and on the range where he was an expert marksman in rifle and handguns. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He is fondly remembered by his family and friends for his gentle nature, his famous coffee rice drink and his great laugh.

Carl is survived by his dad, Gene of Battle Creek; three sisters, Carole (Bob Cornwell of Jamestown, OH), Martha "Marti"(Patrick Samsel of Mason, MI) and Angela Beasley of Baltimore, MD; his brother, Paul (Dagmar) Beasley of Denver, CO and several nieces and nephews. Carl was just preceded in death by his mother, Rosie on August 17, 2017 and brother Joe Beasley in 1995.

The Funeral Liturgy to celebrate Carl's life will be held on Friday, October 27th at Noon at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek, with Deacon Al Patrick, officiating. Carl's family will greet friends on Thursday, October 26th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, where the Parish Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m The Graveside Service with full military honors provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard and the Fort Custer Honor Guard will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carl's honor may be directed to Kellogg Community College Foundation, 450 N. Ave, Battle Creek, MI 49017.
