Carl Bolden, age 54 of Battle Creek died tragically on Saturday evening, November 8, 2014 as a result of an accident. He was very loved and will be missed. Carl married the "Love of His Life", Elizabeth Coss on April 3, 2008, she survives. He is also survived by his sisters, Kay Turner, Joann (Roger) Spence & their son, Joseph who were very special to him, they raised him after his parents died. Carl is further survived by his sister, Janice Bank and brothers, David Bolden and Raymond Bolden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Georgia & James Bolden, and brothers, Eddie Bolden, Fred Bolden and James Bolden.
He was employed at the VA Medical Center providing for his family including his special daughter Roksane Coss, who he loved as his own.
Carl graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. He served in the US Army for 3 years. He was very active in many charities, and never said no when someone needed him. Battle Creek will be a much sadder place without him. I know that he was welcomed with open arms in Heaven and he has peace and love there.
The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. Funeral services to celebrate Carl's life will be held 12:30 p.m., Friday, November 14, 2014 at the New Harvest Christian Center, 155 West VanBuren Street, Battle Creek with Pastor Ivan Lee, officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the American Heart Association.
