Carlene Diane Myers

Carlene Diane Myers, age 73 of Battle Creek died peacefully on Sunday evening, November 7, 2021. She was born in Battle Creek on December 14, 1947, the daughter of Bernard and Amy June (Hammond) Church. Carlene graduated from Lakeview High School with the Class of 1966 and received a Bachelor's Degree from Western Michigan University. She retired from Kellogg Community College on June 30, 2010 after more than 22 years of service.

Carlene married James Randall "Randy" Myers in Battle Creek on September 9, 1974; he sadly preceded her in death on April 7, 2019. She is survived by her daughter, Shannon (Jason) Rose of Battle Creek, two grandchildren, Christopher Rose and Caitlin Rose; and her mother & step-father, Amy & Richard Outman. Carlene was also preceded in death by her father, Bernard Church; her in-laws, Helen & Dewey Myers; and her brother-in-law, Larry Myers.

Carlene was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and together with Randy, Carlene loved going to Lake Michigan, traveling & meeting friends for dinner.

Friends will be received by Carlene's family 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, November 14th at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Maximilian Nightingale, 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 15th at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 61 North 23rd Street, Battle Creek, MI 49015. Interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kellogg Community College Foundation 450 North Ave. Battle Creek, MI 49017-9913.
