Carol Sue (Tappan) Ramos, 66, a lifelong Battle Creek, Michigan resident died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, January 20, 2022.
Carol was born July 28, 1955 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Manley and Caroline E. (Strowbridge) Tappan. She was employed in the dietary department at Bronson Battle Creek for nearly 30 years, and was forced to take a medical disability due to her battle with cancer. She was well know at Bronson, as the cashier in the hospital cafeteria. Carol received an award for her generosity to the Little Help, Big Difference Employee Campaign at the hospital. When she wasn't working, Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, country music concerts and cuddling her cat, Booger.
Carol is survived by her children, Anquelita Romeo, Manley Ramos, Lucia (Jacob) Zimmerman; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four honorary children, 12 honorary grandchildren and nine honorary great-grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her life companion, Donald Messenger; a granddaughter; two brothers, David Tappan, Frank Tappan and a sister, Ruth Parker.
A gathering to celebrate Carol's life will be hosted by her granddaughter, Bianca Morse at 14280 Kellogg School Road, Hickory Corners, MI from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022.
