It is our time to celebrate the life of Carol Ellen Swaffield, age 77, who passed away peacefully on October 14, 2019 at the Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence of Battle Creek, MI. In the last few weeks of her life, Carol was surrounded by loving family and friends.

Carol, the daughter of Helen Cameron and Frank Cameron, was born March 5, 1942 in Coldwater, MI. Carol married Royden Swaffield on July 7, 1963; he survives. She is also survived by her daughters, Linita Swaffield and Nicole (Robert) McCullough; her grandchildren, Piper McCullough and Riley McCullough; her sister, Cynthia Cameron; niece, Laura Youngdahl; and nephew, Jacob Cameron. Carol was preceded in death by her son, Cameron Swaffield, and by both her parents.

Carol graduated from Coldwater High School in 1960 and attended Jackson Business School and Ball State University. She was employed as a secretary at Channing Corporation, Divco Wayne, and Lawrence Productions. She also worked with her husband at Masteller Music.

Carol lived her life with a warm smile and positivity that was infectious to those around her. There was nothing she liked better than an interesting conversation with a good (or new) friend. She could have an engaging conversation with anyone. Carol was drawn to animals and children, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She had a way of making ordinary things magical.
