Cassie McDaniel

Cassie Kaye McDaniel, 48 passed away suddenly at home on September 9, 2023. She was born August 26, 1975 in Kalamazoo and raised in Battle Creek. She is survived by mother, Lehna Clothier of Delton, father, Mark Clothier (Shar) of Battle Creek, sister, Autumn Clothier (Jordan) of Battle Creek, sister, Danah Gil-Acosta (Alcides) of Marshall, husband, Jason McDaniel of Galesburg, daughter, Alexandrea McDaniel of Galesburg, son, Thurman McDaniel of Galesburg, nephew, Thomas McDaniel and niece, Brooklyn McDaniel of Marshall.  

Cassie was the middle child of three daughters. Cassie found the love of her life in her high school choir class, and have been together 32 years. Cassie loved her children dearly and allowed them to do things other mothers wouldn’t dream of letting their kids do. She was the kind of mom who allowed the kids to have flour fights in the kitchen, play baseball in the living room, and skateboard in the kitchen. Cassie had the biggest heart and would do anything to help somebody in need. She never wanted or needed recognition for any of her good deeds, being content with offering help in any manner.  Cassie enjoyed spending time with family, watching her kids at the ball field, going on adventures with her cousin, having cheese time with the puppies, estate sales, diet Mountain Dew and anything sweet.

Cassie’s celebration of life will be held September 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 65 N. Bedford Rd, Battle Creek 49037.  Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.  Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
