Charles Jeffrey Brown

Charles Jeffrey "Grizzly" Brown, Sr., age 72, of Richland passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, November 23, 2019 at the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence in Kalamazoo. He was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on June 26, 1947, the son of the late Ronald and Lillian (Dickow) Brown and graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and worked at National Gypsum Corp. and James River Corp. for more than 21 years. A true outdoorsman, Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, and fly tying.

Charles married Bonnie M. Bunce in Kalamazoo on Aug. 7, 1966; she survives. He is also survived by his daughters, Denise Ferguson, Janet Brown, and Kari (John) Daugherty; his son, Charles (Diana) Brown, Jr.; his step-mother, Joy Cutsforth; four brothers; seven sisters, seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
