Charles Everett Cody, 66, of Augusta passed away at home January 27, 2023.

Charles was born in Kalamazoo to Samuel and Edith (Lowry) Cody. He was a 1974 graduate of Galesburg Augusta High School. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. He worked in various positions at Aunt Millie's in Kalamazoo. Charles loved the outdoors and sports, especially football and baseball. He was a fan of the Tigers and Cardinals. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and winning family poker games.

Charles is survived by his sons, Travis Cody and Tyler Cody; grandchildren, Leiahna, Lukus, Sophia and Emelia; mother, Edith Cody; siblings, Wayne, Brenda, Irene, Tom and Charlene.

Charles' family will receive friends for visitation at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Cremation Preneed Care, Augusta Chapel on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m where a funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 6, 2023.
