Charles S. Rominger, age 87, of Battle Creek, joined his maker on April 21, 2017 while in the care of Glen Arbor Hospice.
Chuck was born and raised in Toledo, IL to Martin and Bessie Rominger and graduated from Greenup High School in Illinois. While playing basketball in high school, he met Rosemary White, his future wife of 57 years until her death in 2009. Chuck joined the U.S Air Force after graduating high school and returned from Korea to become a cake decorator until 1965 when he moved his family to Battle Creek and began his life insurance sales career that lasted 37 years until his retirement.
Chuck and Rosemary enjoyed antiquing, square dancing, traveling with their antique cars and living in Florida during the winter. They loved spending time with their dear friends and cherished time spent with their grandchildren.
Chuck leaves behind a son, Charles (Nancy) Rominger Jr; daughters, Wendy Rominger and Kimberly (Tim) Binger and; five grandchildren, Nance Rominger, Michael Rominger, Macaulay Binger, Chloe Binger and Christopher Rominger.
Also surviving was his joy and happiness, Patricia Hoag and his brother, Richard Rominger of Florida.
A military graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions maybe made to the Church of the Resurrection, 2589 Capital Ave S.W., Battle Creek. Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 105 Capital Ave. N.E., Battle Creek, Michigan are in charge of arrangements.
