Christine Ann (Diamond) Berridge, 79, of Battle Creek passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022.
Chris, or "Grams" as she was known to her grandchildren, was born on July 11, 1942 in Cheboygan, Michigan to Lyman "Gene" and June (Muschell) Diamond. She was a 1961 graduate of Lakeview High School, where she was a member of the Future Nurses Club. In 1983, she graduated from Kellogg Community College as a registered nurse. She was dedicated to her profession and worked as a nurse until her retirement.
Chris loved her family and adored her dogs. She enjoyed listening to music, watching her soap operas and reality TV, and she was always online shopping. In her youth, she golfed and participated in a bowling league. Chris loved cooking and sharing meals with her family. Her greatest love in life was traveling, usually on the road, in her car or Winnebago. She loved the Southwest and traveled there frequently, even living in Arizona for a short time.
If you knew Chris, you knew exactly where you stood with her. She was unapologetically sassy and unafraid to tell you what was on her mind. Chris was very glamorous and took enormous pride in her appearance. She only wore matching outfits, her nails were always done, and she never left home without a full face of makeup.
Chris is survived by her three daughters with her former spouse Ronald Andersen (deceased), Debra Andersen, Rhonda (Mark) Gray and Stacey Allard, all of Battle Creek, MI; stepsons, David (Mindy) Berridge of Dimondale, MI and Steven Berridge of TN; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; siblings, Mark (Susan) Diamond of Minneapolis, MN, Anthony Diamond of IN, Tracy (Jesse) Platt of Minneapolis, MN; and Scott Diamond of Wrightstown, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, her parents, and a brother, Richard Diamond. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Maggie.
