Christopher Daylee "Really Doe" "Charlie Hustle" Guy-VanSyckle, age 41, of Battle Creek departed this life unexpectedly at home on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018. Christopher was born on Nov. 15,1977, the youngest of nine siblings, and attended Battle Creek Public Schools. Chris enjoyed playing football and basketball. He especially enjoyed playing in the Gus Macker tournaments. Chris was employed at Target distribution, and had numerous jobs working in Mental Health and also working at his father's family business, "Big G's" from when he was young. Christopher was a member at First Pentecostal C.O.G.I.C. at a young age, and often attended New Harvest Christian Center with his dad.
He loved and cherished his family and friends, especially his children. He leaves to cherish three daughters, CaVanna Caprice VanSyckle, Tashayia "Shay Shay" Moore and Caliyana Sequret Lee Vansyckle; five sons, Christopher Daylee VanSyckle, II., Chrishon Daylee'on VanSyckle, Cavantai Daylee VanSyckle, CaValeon Daylee Guy-VanSyckle, CamRon Daylee Guy-VanSyckle and Ke'zell R. Edwards; four sisters, Anita Love of Chicago, Melvonia Guy, Camille Napilot, and Sequret VanSyckle, all of Battle Creek; three brothers, Ricky (Debra) Miller of Newport News, VA, Michael (Jody) VanSyckle of Battle Creek, and Demetrius VanSyckle of Hutchinson, KS; special cousin, Willie Scott Guy; three special mothers of his children, Felicia Fitzpatrick of Greenwood, IN, Chrisie Etchison and Latroya Moore of Battle Creek; and a host of nieces & nephews. Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Governor Gilbert Guy Jr.; his mother, Anna Pearle VanSyckle; brother, Gilbert Governor Guy; special uncle, Matthew Guy; and friend, Bryce Caldwell.
Funeral services to celebrate Christopher's life will be held12:00 noon, Friday, December 21, 2018 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek with a family hour held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
