Christy L. Ames-Bauer

Christy L. Ames-Bauer, age 65, of Springfield passed away suddenly at Bronson Battle Creek on Saturday morning, May 18, 2019. She was born in Coldwater, Michigan on December 25, 1953, the daughter of Harry O. and Elsie L. (Smith) Ames, and graduated from Coldwater High School. Christy enjoyed sharing her strong Faith in the Lord with others. She also enjoyed shopping, reading, and spending time with her family and close friends.

Christy is survived by her husband, Richard R. "Rich" Bauer; three children, Josh (Heather) Wickham of Ludington, Shannon Wickham of Kalamazoo, and Sarah (Bradley) VanTassal of Hart; five grandchildren, Ella, Simon & Liana Wickham, and Thaddeus & Abigail VanTassal; four brothers & sisters, Bonnie (Jeff) Friend, Karen VanLiere, Daniel (Linda) Ames, Michael (Tina) Ames; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patty McCall.

The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Thursday, May 23rd at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek where funeral services to celebrate Christy's life will be held at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan.
