Clairice K. Lebreton

Clairice Kathleen LeBreton, age 67, of Battle Creek died Wednesday, September 28, 2016. Clairice, the daughter of Edwina Seelke and the late Joseph Gallek, was born October 12, 1948 in Cicero, Illinois. She graduated from La Mirada High School in California and studied Criminal Justice at Cerritos College.

She was married to Norman Joseph LeBreton Jr. on April 19, 1975. This marriage was blessed with three children. She remained soul mates with her husband for 43 years.

Clairice was an active and loving mother. She was a Cub Scout den mother for her two sons and participated in her daughter's Brownie troop. She volunteered at school events and went on many field trips with her children. Clairice always welcomed her children's friends into her life and would treat them like her own.

Clairice enjoyed family gatherings and always put her heart into ensuring the family took time to enjoy each other. She loved Christmas and the time she spent with her family and friends. She enjoyed crafting, cross stitch, crocheting and beading with her mother, as well as, shopping and going to movies together. She enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles and would work on them with her grandkids.

She had a love of nature and animals, especially her dog Teddy Bear who was always by her side. Clairice loved the change of seasons with fall being her second favorite to winter. She was known for her "Let it Snow" signs which seemed to have magic to bring the snow. She had a great sense of humor and would always put a smile on your face. She would joke and kid around with the family and make her grandkids giggle whenever she was around them.

LeBreton of West Bloomfield, MI, Michael C. LeBreton and Jolene M. LeBreton of Battle Creek, MI; daughters-in-law, Kristina Moellering of West Bloomfield, MI and Sarah A. LeBreton of Battle Creek, MI; three grandchildren, Landen, Treven and Jace LeBreton; brother: Randall V. Gallek of Fullerton, CA; sisters-in-law: Joyce A. Nickett of San Robles, CA, Kathleen M. Dould of Athol MA, and Sheila J. Adams of Capistrano Beach, CA. uncles: Victor Plummer of Downy, CA, and Frank Plummer Jr. of San Diego, CA.; a host of devoted nieces, nephews and friends.

Please join Clairice's family and friends for a visitation from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5th followed by a Celebration of Life Ceremony at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
