Clarice Marilyn Ellsworth of Battle Creek, MI

Clarice, age 84, went to be with her Lord on Friday evening, September 22, 2017, following a brief illness and loving care at Select Specialty of Bronson Battle Creek.

Clarice, the daughter of Walter and Helen (Smith) Ellsworth, was born in Battle Creek on September 28, 1932 and was a 1950 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. She then lived in Chicago for 30 years, where she earned a degree in Social Work and was employed as secretary and social worker in the Chicago area. She retired to Battle Creek and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Battle Creek. Clarice enjoyed bike riding, doing puzzles of all kinds, playing the piano and singing, but her true passion in life was her family and friends.

Clarice is survived by her heart broken daughter, Melody A. Ellsworth of Battle Creek; two grandsons, Don W. (Amy Jo) Rall, III and Daniel N. (Nika Sheré) Rall, both of Battle Creek; three precious great grandchildren, Don W. Rall, IV, Ashley Marie Rall and Daniel N. Rall, II and her great great granddaughter, Kira Rall. Clarice was preceded in death by her parents.

Clarice's family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon Tuesday at Bedford Bible Church. The Funeral service to celebrate Clarice's life will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday, September 26th at Bedford Bible Church with Rev. Kevin M. McCarty, Pastor, officiating. A committal service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Immediately following the committal service, family and friends will continue Clarice's life celebration with a time of fellowship and a luncheon in the Church Social Hall at Bedford Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Clarice's honor may be directed to Bedford Bible Church, 21964 N. Bedford Road, Battle Creek, MI 49017.
