Cordelia Weik Lesiow, 70, of Battle Creek died at Bickford Cottage on Tuesday, July 2, 2013.
She was born August 8, 1942 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Karl and Allegra (Crabb) Weik. She grew up in Battle Creek, graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and attended Kellogg Community College. Cordelia was a former member of the Board of Directors at Cello-Foil Products, Inc.
Surviving are her son, M. Rieger (Suzanna) Lesiow of Battle Creek; daughter, Tiffany Gayle Younker of Battle Creek; four granddaughters, Khelsea Younker, Jordan Younker, Lenae Lesiow and Haley Lesiow; a sister, Karla W. Gordon of Rancho Mirage, CA and a niece, Paige Gordon. Cordelia was preceded in death by her grandson, Hunter Lesiow and her son-in-law, Trevor Younker. Cordelia was formerly married to Kenneth M. Lesiow.
Cordelia was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church. Recently she has been a member of a First Wesleyan Church where she enjoyed participating in a Bible Study group. She enjoyed shopping, reading, doing crafts, swimming, traveling and especially spending time with her family and friends. Cordelia was a member of Burnham Brook where she enjoyed dancing and her many friendships. She had a green thumb and grew plants, cactus, orchids and violets that bloomed year round.
Friends will be received from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Committal and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hunter Fund at the Battle Creek Community Foundation which she personally established in memory of her grandson, Hunter Ty Lesiow.
