Dale Allen Cochensparger

Dale Allen Cochensparger, 64, of Springfield, MI died at Bronson Battle Creek on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

Dale was born December 13, 1960, in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Francis Dale and Marjorie (Antes) Cochensparger. Dale grew up in Battle Creek and attended Gull Lake High School. Dale honorably served his country in the U.S. Army overseas in Germany. He was employed as a warehouse assistant for Frito-Lay Food Products for 15 years, prior to retiring. Dale was previously employed at Omega Castings in Fort Custer Industrial Park.

Dale Allen Cochensparger was united in marriage to Sheryl Lynn Brown on September 12, 1983, in Battle Creek. Surviving are his wife of 41+ years, Sheryl; children, Shane (Kassaudra Bingenman) Cochensparger, April (Carl) Moore, Judy Cochensparger, Francis “Dale” Cochensparger, Aimee Cochensparger, Sandra Cochensparger, Elizabeth Cochensparger, Cheyenne Cochensparger; 35 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a brother, Randy (Stacey) Cochensparger, two sisters, Cindy Cochensparger, Alice Cochensparger and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. Dale was preceded in death by his parents.

When his health allowed, Dale was an avid fisherman. He loved his dogs and traveling. He enjoyed shopping and searching through antique stores for historical and war memorabilia. He had a grouchy exterior but was a softy on the inside and always gave in to the wishes of his family. Dale will be remembered for the love and concern he always had for family and friends.

Friends will be received 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Cremation Preneed Care, where a service to celebrate Dale’s life will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday. June 3, 2025. Fort Custer Honor Guard and the U.S. Army Honor Guard will present military honors, prior to inurnment at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
